MERLOT Assignments

Description

MERLOT members may create a student assignment for any MERLOT learning material and upload it to MERLOT.

Each learning material in MERLOT has a link entitled Create an assignment whereby you may upload your assignment for public use.  This creates easy online access to your assignment for your students and also shares your assignment with the MERLOT Mathematics community for use by others. Submitters retain ownership of their assignment(s) and can edit or delete the assignment(s) at any time.

 

How to Add Assignments to MERLOT Learning Materials

1. Become a member of MERLOT.
2. Select a MERLOT learning material for which you would like to create an assignment.
3. Create the assignment and save it electronically.
4. Browse or search the MERLOT collection to locate the pertinent learning material.
5. Click on the title link of the learning material.
6. On the Material Detail page, click on the tab labeled Create an assignment
7. Enter the requested information in the textboxes provided; starred items are required:
   1. *Title
   2. *Description
   3. Type of Task
   4. Time Required
   5. Topics
   6. Course
   7. Audience
   8. Subject Categories
   9. Prerequisite Skills
   10. Learning Objectives
   11. Technical Notes
   12. *Text of Assignment
   13. Additional Information URL
   14. Assessment—describe your standards for evaluating student performance
   15. Assessment URL
8. Click on Submit

Note:  You may edit information concerning an assignment after it has been submitted.
